My oldest comes home singing new songs and telling us all the new things she’s learned. My youngest has severe eczema and they have been extremely supportive of us trialling different dietary restrictions and just in general with everything to do with it. Great daily updates with photos of the kids and what they’ve been up to, and what/when they’ve eaten that day as well. The whole centre is amazing and we are very glad to be apart of it. At our neighbourhood centre, The DEN, we provide a safe venue for a variety of programs designed to engage and educate children, families and adults from the local community. We seek to promote learning activities and friendships, support minority and vulnerable groups, and assist families in building networks and accessing local support services.
On 22nd February 1992 Noranda Child Care Centre was opened due to a high demand for community-based long day care places in the City of Bayswater. The Bayswater Child Care Association Incorporated was established in 1975 after a need was identified in the City of Bayswater for community-based, Not-for-profit childcare. The curriculum at Nido Early School is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach and aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework. Designed to support the children in the early years and as they prepare for the transition to school, the curriculum is play-based and engaging. Nido Early School understands that no one knows a child like their family. The service actively engages with parents and family members to ensure children have the very best care.
It is an innovative approach to holistic learning, development and well-being in early childhood. I come from a family of teachers and was always surrounded by strong, positive role models in education. Indoors, children discover places for creativity, imaginative storytelling and quiet corners.
Our teachers and educators encourage the children to learn through play to help enhance their sensory-motor development. This happens through carefully planned music, dance, games, role playing and reading experiences. We also engage with local schools and provide transition statements, ensuring your child feels confident and prepared for the next steps in their education journey. Stay connected with your child’s progress via our Xplor platform, which offers regular updates on their learning and development. Our environments are welcoming, spacious, and well-equipped, offering rich opportunities for learning through play. Each indoor space has direct access to our outdoor environments, allowing children to move freely between indoor and outdoor play, based on their interests and needs.
