In this approach, the nasal tip was treated first, which seems to reduce the need for larger volumes in the columella and nasal spine.

This results in the characteristic “inverted triangle” appearance of aging, in contrast to the “downward equilateral triangle” seen in younger faces. In general, the regulatory and ethical landscape for AI in aesthetic medicine remains under development [46]. While there is no firm data available to guide surgeons on which HA filler to use for postsurgical rhinoplasty defects, the characteristics of the products were considered when choosing the filler. In those cases where a product with a higher lifting capacity and greater cohesivity was required, then Juvéderm Voluma was considered as an acceptable option. Most importantly, however, is that the surgeon is familiar with the characteristics of the filler and has knowledge of outcomes in their practice. In despite of the great advances achieved to date, rhinoplasty remains the most complex surgical procedure among the plastic surgery treatments of choice. Today the most commonly used material is the uses hyaluronic acid (HA).

All patients had treatment for minor surface imperfections that fell below the threshold for surgery. The rate of patients requiring or wishing intervention after surgery was, therefore, 10.6%. In the same cohort of cases, 28 patients underwent subsequent revision surgery and the revision rate was, therefore, 3.5%. Revisions were performed for contour abnormalities, excess scarring leading to contractures and, in one case, for a subsequent alar base reduction which was deemed to be unnecessary at the time of initial surgery. The follow-up time for this study was in the range of 3 days to 1246 days (mean 330 days).
A nonsurgical rhinoplasty targets the bridge, tip, and sides of your nose. Fillers can be injected around any part of your nose to modify its shape. One of the included papers [7] reported a high (10%; 2/20) incidence of hematoma requiring no active treatment, which we attribute to the smaller sample size and more needle entry points. There were 37 papers with a total of 7339 patients included in the study.
We acknowledge the statistical population imbalance observed in this study, which arose due to the natural distribution of patients during the data collection period. Additionally, threads are often regarded as a more advanced and potentially aggressive treatment option, which may influence patient decision‐making and account for the smaller group of threads‐treated individuals. Nonsurgical rhinoplasty with hyaluronic acid (HA) has gained popularity due to its efficacy and minimal downtime. There is no evidence that long-term nose filler use permanently alters the nasal anatomy in ways that would make the natural nose look worse — though this is a common concern. Some patients find their nose looks very similar to their pre-treatment baseline after full reduction of accumulated product. To systematically review the effects of facial HA fillers on durability, patient satisfaction, and adverse events, providing a comprehensive overview for clinical and aesthetic practice. After obtaining patient medical history, we analyzed their noses in relation to their faces and then individually.5 During the procedure, it is first necessary to exclude intraoral deformities, retrognathisms or prognathisms, and asymmetries.
Discomfort during the procedure is minimal due to numbing creams and topical anesthetics. Some patients experience temporary minor swelling or bruising at the injection sites, which typically subside within a few days. The type of filler used depends on individual needs and desired outcomes.

The true incidence of adverse events is likely underestimated due to several biases inherent to the filler literature. First, selective non-publication and preferential reporting of favorable outcomes skew the evidence base toward success, while complications—especially severe but rare events—are less likely to be submitted or accepted. Second, most complication data rely on passive or voluntary reporting, with additional medicolegal disincentives that suppress disclosure.
