A new world of entertainment comes to Sydney

Sydney Contemporary Presents 2020 runs until October 31, with new artworks added each week. "Whether guests are operating machines in the Factory  or transported to the Projected Desert via a trippy portal, Omega Mart is a truly interactive narrative experience," said Emily Montoya, co-founder of Meow Wolf. “That distilled version of nature is what we are bringing to the table in terms of experiencing nature with technology. “We started this project, Athletics Forest, with the hopes to enhance three-dimensional and higher-dimensional thinking. Billed as a tech-driven immersive sydney 'intergalactic playground', it features over 30 unique 'galaxies' set across 40,000 square feet. TeamLab developed the location in collaboration with Abu Dhabi’s culture and tourism department (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Miral. Exhibits include Massless Suns and Dark Suns, which the collective says will "challenge perceptions of reality", and Levitation Void, which features a moving black circle, or void, that its decribes as "born and maintained by its environment".

Turning digital art into your career isn’t just a dream; it’s all about becoming skilled in a certain discipline, and then finding a job doing that for a company (often by networking). Some folks choose the traditional route of going through college or university programs to learn their skills, while others prefer self-teaching. With enough dedication and discipline, you can absolutely become proficient in digital art on your own. Interactive art installations are increasing in popularity in this new era blend of art and technology, and gets the viewer involved with interactive art in a hands-on way. Most importantly, digital art has endless potential and is likely to become a more desired preference in the future, providing an avenue for digital art installations to have greater possibilities for interactivity. This concern poses a question of the public assumption of art, and if the continual innovation and integration of technology in art will redefine what defines art, or at least how digital art is classified.
